The key to any association is the people who make up the network. From lawyers and banking professionals, to commercial cannabis business owners and all who fall in between, we are proud of the diverse and expanding network of professionals and experts who are our members. To show our appreciation for the exceptional individuals in our community, we are highlighting Bill Raffety this week. Please reach out and connect with him here, or by email at [email protected].

Bill Raffety is the founder of Wyatt Group Global Assurance, which brings extensive experience in farm, sustainability, and traceability audits to the cannabis industry. Bill attended Thunderbird School of International Management at Arizona State where he received an international MBA. He also received a BA in International Studies from Rhodes College.

Following an extensive career in physical commodities and the futures business, Bill shifted to the cannabis industry. Considering his professional past, where he spent most of his career in new line development, it was common sense for Bill to enter a new and exciting industry and start Wyatt Group.  Wyatt Group is a third-party inspection, verification, and audit company providing service and support from the grow level through to finished goods on dispensary store shelves. Wyatt Group’s audits at the grow, extraction, and distribution levels provide a level of guidance and oversight to clients, helping them to mitigate the risk of potential penalties and interruption of service. To say the least, Wyatt Group is fortunate to have Bill leading their team.

Bill first heard about the Association of Certified Commercial Cannabis Experts through LinkedIn posts and is studying to become an ACCCE Certified Commercial Cannabis Expert (CCCE) so that he and his group can better understand the needs of the commercial cannabis industry and be one of the best service providers in their space. “ACCCE gives me the knowledge to better understand commercial cannabis businesses and provide leading class service”. Bill believes that risk management is paramount in business and that, without a proper risk management program in place, a business is potentially leaving themselves open to unlimited risk.

Bill grew up in Southeast Missouri, and has spent time in Memphis, Phoenix, New York, and Los Angeles. In his free time, Bill enjoys cooking, hiking, swimming, and bike riding. He also remains involved in his family’s active farming business. To wind down after a long day, Bill reads a good book or has friends over to cook dinner and enjoy an evening at home.

We are proud to have an esteemed member like Bill in our network. As our community continues to grow, we find it important to thank our members for their commitment to professionalizing the commercial cannabis industry. Thank you, Bill, for being such an important part of the cannabis community. Together, we are a part of something great.
