Anuraga is the Chief Consultant for Qualium Consulting. Qualium Consulting provides compliance support to craft operators in the Canadian cannabis industry. She has a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology from ANGRAU, India, and a master’s degree in Food Process Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. Anuraga’s first job was in Endurance Food and Supplement Manufacturing company, but after slowly transitioning into health products and pharmaceuticals, she’s found her career in the cannabis industry.
Anuraga never expected she would end up in the cannabis industry, but with the news of cannabis legalization in Canada, Anuraga’s interest was piqued. Shortly after, she found a job with a start-up and has since enjoyed her time working in the industry as well as the culture that surrounds it. In 2020, she started as a consultant with Qualium Consulting and successfully navigated her way through the rough times brought on by the pandemic, thanks to her family, friends, and clients. During her career in the cannabis industry, Anuraga has learned about cannabis and its benefits and hopes to continue learning more about the global cannabis industry through the ACCCE community. To say the least, Qualium Consulting is fortunate to have Anuraga as a part of the team.
Anuraga first heard about the Association of Certified Commercial Cannabis Experts through LinkedIn posts and is studying to become an ACCCE Certified Commercial Cannabis Expert (CCCE). “I am looking forward to being a part of ACCCE and learning from other professionals in the network”. Because Anuraga works in the quality, regulatory, and compliance world, risk assessment is an integral part of her work because she has to consider risks and their mitigations at every step. Anuraga states that because everyone is learning how to navigate the new licensed cannabis industry, risk is a given. Knowing this, Anuraga plans to contribute her knowledge to the industry.
Anuraga grew up in India, and later moved to the US. She has been married for 8 years and currently resides in Canada, though her favorite place to be is always a beach with warm tropic waters. Anuraga is a foodie and a travel fanatic. She would love to visit all the countries in the world, and experience their culture, traditions, and food. She used to read a lot, and would love to get back to that habit, and loves spending her time with family and cooking different cuisines. Anuraga describes herself as an open book that anyone can read, but to understand her fully, one would need a key.
